P&L Statement Loan Request

Explore qualification based on documented business profitability

A Profit and Loss statement mortgage is an alternative documentation option for eligible self-employed borrowers. Instead of qualifying solely from traditional income documents, the lender evaluates an acceptable business P&L and any supporting records its program requires.

Request My P&L Loan Review

Program Highlights

  • Professionally prepared P&L statements can help document business revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Purchase and refinance options may be available.
  • Certain lenders permit investment properties; other programs are limited to primary or second homes.

What Lenders Review

The preparer’s credentials, statement period, business history, ownership share, income consistency, credit, debt obligations, and reserves are reviewed. Supporting bank statements may also be required.

How the Program Works

This is an income-documentation method, not a no-documentation loan. Gross business revenue is not automatically qualifying income; operating expenses, ownership share, and lender adjustments affect the calculation.

Important Considerations

A self-prepared P&L may not be accepted. Documentation and permitted occupancy depend on the lender; final approval requires a full review.

P&L Statement Loan Request

Complete only the form for the program you want reviewed. Estimates are welcome; optional fields may be left blank.

Do not enter Social Security numbers, account numbers, identification documents, or full financial statements.

This form requests an initial financing discussion. It is not a complete mortgage application, loan approval, rate lock, or commitment to lend. Availability, rates, terms, documentation, property eligibility, and occupancy rules vary by lender and state. All financing is subject to underwriting and applicable approvals.
